University administrators from the College of Law and DeLand Campuses met earlier today regarding a pressing need for a business decision involving Financial Aid and a Banner upgrade. Although originally planned for June 7 when it would have been least disruptive, we became aware that the upgrade integrated a new format to download Federal data to assist families with their enrollment decisions, and that we needed to implement these upgrades immediately.
As a result, the Banner system will be taken down at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, and the upgrade will take place throughout the weekend. This means that faculty will not be able to input semester grades during the upgrade process. All other services will continue to be available, including email, printing, Internet access, network drive file storage, and Blackboard.
