On Tuesday, Sept. 24, the School of Business Administration welcomes the “spirit” of success in business, Barefoot Wine founders Michael Houlihan and Bonnie Harvey. They will speak at noon in the Rinker Auditorium, LBC, on their latest book, The Barefoot Spirit: How Hardship, Hustle, and Heart Built America’s #1 Wine Brand. Faculty, staff and students are welcome, and the public is invited.
Sponsored by the Prince Entrepreneurship Program and the Family Enterprise Center, Houlihan and Harvey will discuss elements of successful entrepreneurship and how to use business to make social change.
Stetson Family Enterprise professor Peter Begalla is responsible for bringing this event to Stetson’s campus. Free copies of Barefoot Spirit will be handed out to students on the day of the event.
Founders Michael Houlihan and Bonnie Harvey launched the Barefoot Wine brand in 1985. Now, Houlihan and Harvey travel across the country as consultants and guest speakers on the keys to building and maintaining a business. They wrote their first inspirational memoir, The Barefoot Spirit, in order to provide story and keys to starting a successful business.
